CORK
Cork is a sustainable and environmentally friendly material as it is obtained from the bark of the cork oak without damaging the tree. It is lightweight, flexible and extremely durable. Cork also offers excellent insulating and damping properties, is water-repellent and resistant to bacteria. This makes cork particularly hygienic and ideal for numerous applications, from shoe production to a wide range of uses. Our quality cork comes from Portugal and is obtained in a certified sustainable production process. MUCOS processes 100% of this raw material in Pramet - exclusively by hand by experienced and long-standing employees who have extensive specialist knowledge and know exactly what is important in high-quality cork processing.

EVA

EVA (ethylene vinyl acetate) is a versatile and lightweight material that is increasingly being used in the manufacture of orthopaedic footbeds. Thanks to its high flexibility and cushioning properties, EVA offers outstanding comfort and relieves pressure on the feet with every step. The material is resistant to abrasion and retains its shape even after prolonged use. EVA is also waterproof, hypoallergenic and well tolerated, which makes it ideal for use in orthopaedic products. In footbeds, EVA provides a perfect balance between support and cushioning, helping to improve foot health. Our standard range includes various Shore hardnesses.
POLYAMIDE (PA)
Polyamide (PA) is a hard-wearing and flexible material that is used in many different ways in orthopaedic footbeds. Thanks to its high abrasion resistance and resistance to external influences, PA ensures a long service life for the footbeds. The thermoplastic nature of PA makes it possible to shape the material in a targeted manner to ensure individual adaptation to the shape of the foot. PA also offers excellent stability and contributes to optimum foot support. The material is lightweight, retains its shape and retains its structure even with regular use. Polyamide is also easy to care for, breathable and offers additional comfort for the wearer thanks to its moisture-regulating properties.

KORKFANT

Korkfant is an innovative material based on cork and synthetic fibers and offers an excellent combination of flexibility, lightness and high dimensional stability. Korkfant impresses with its excellent cushioning properties and thus provides effective relief for the foot with every step. The material is also particularly breathable, regulates moisture and has an odour-neutralizing effect, making it perfect for daily use in orthopaedic footbeds. Thanks to the natural origin of the cork, Korkfant also supports sustainability without compromising on functionality and comfort.
KORK ELVAX
The material compound cork Elvax combines the natural advantages of cork with the special properties of Elvax, a thermoplastic material. This innovative mixture is used in orthopaedic footbeds to provide optimum comfort and support. Cork provides excellent cushioning and natural moisture regulation, while Elvax increases the stability and dimensional stability of the material. This combination enables flexible adaptation to the individual foot shape and ensures even pressure distribution. Cork Elvax is also lightweight, durable and supports foot health thanks to its protective properties. Thanks to the high quality and sustainability of both materials, cork Elvax is an ideal choice for modern, orthopaedic joint and arch supports.
