The former footbed supplier of Hartjes GesmbH had to cease production due to insolvency.
To ensure the continuous supply of footbeds, Hartjes founded Mucos-Korkproduktions Gmbh as a subsidiary in 2005. By taking over the footbed production of the insolvent company, it was possible to secure the supply of high-quality footbeds for Hartjes. Mucos Kork grew continuously, and step by step other shoe manufacturers were also acquired as customers. In the following years, Mucos expanded its business areas, creating the Orthotec and Corktec divisions.
